Dear Villacorta Families,
We are filled with enthusiasm as we prepare to embark on the exciting journey of the 2023-2024 school year! We sincerely hope you've had wonderful moments with your loved ones during the summer break. Our team has been working diligently during this time to ensure that your children receive top-notch learning experiences.
Rest assured, we are taking all necessary precautions to guarantee the safety and well-being of our students and staff. As a part of the Rowland Unified School District, we will commence the school year on August 14th, 2023. To keep you well-informed, we will regularly update this website and our Twitter account (@villacortarusd).
It is an absolute honor to continue serving the incredibly talented and dedicated Villacorta community. For those who have been with us for years, you already know how exceptional this place truly is. I am personally thrilled to be a part of this ongoing journey with you all. Your support and active involvement play a crucial role as we work diligently to uphold and enhance the rich traditions and academic excellence that Villacorta is renowned for.
Moreover, our remarkable team of educators and support staff remains steadfast in their commitment to maintain our recognition as a Gold Ribbon School. We are also proud recipients of the PBIS Gold Medal for our Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports approach, along with the Pivotal Practice State Award.
The parents physical presence at school events is of utmost importance. In order to ensure the safety of our students, entrance into our campus is limited. I look forward to seeing you when you drop off or pick up your students. Please take some time to say hello. I will always make time to discuss your child as well as creative opportunities for you to be involved as part of the Villacorta Elementary Community. At the request of parents, we are continuing with uniform dress for students. This will ensure that students are thriving in a positive and safe environment. Please know that we are committed to the “Be Viking” way that is emblematic of our school. We want Villacorta families to be an integral part of this endeavor. By supporting our students in being responsible, respectful, and ready to lead we will create a culture where our students are poised for excellence.
Together, let us continue to strive for greatness, as we build upon our successes and create an even brighter future for every student at Villacorta. Estimadas familias de Villacorta,
Estamos esperando con gran anticipación el año escolar 2023-2024. Espero hayan disfrutado tiempo con sus seres queridos. Durante el verano hemos trabajado a paso velóz en desarrollar nuestras estrategias para instrucción y prepararnos para el regreso de los niños. Nuestro distrito empezara el año escolar el lunes, 14 de agosto de 2023. Es un honor continuar sirviendo a la comunidad talentosa y dedicada de Villacorta. Aquellos de ustedes que han sido miembros de la familia de Villacorta durante muchos años saben que es un lugar muy especial. ¡Estoy muy contento de ser parte de esta comunidad! Con su apoyo y participación vamos a trabajar mucho para preservar y aprovechar las tradiciones arraigadas y la excelencia académica por la cual se reconoce Villacorta. Nuestro equipo trabajará sin descanso para que nuestro reconocimiento como una escuela de listón dorado siga brillando. Recientemente recibimos la medalla de oro por nuestro programa de PBIS. Tambien, el estado recientemente nos otorgo la Pivotal Practice Award.
La presencia de los padres en la escuela ya sea en persona o virtualmente es de suma importancia. Durante el horario escolar solamente admitimos a estudiantes y personal dentro de la escuela al menos que haya un evento especial. Espero conocer a todos y cada uno de ustedes en uno de nuestros eventos o celebraciones durante el año escolar. Por favor pasen a saludarme. Siempre voy a hacer tiempo para hablar acerca de su hijo/a, y también sobre oportunidades creativas para que usted pueda involucrarse como parte de la familia de la Escuela Villacorta. A petición de los padres, continuaremos con el uso de uniformes. Esto asegurara que los estudiantes estén en un clima positivo y seguro. Continuamos con nuestro compromiso de la cruzada de “Ser Vikingo” que es emblematica de nuestra escuela. Queremos que la familia de Villacorta sea una parte integral de este esfuerzo. Mediante el apoyo a nuestros estudiantes en ser responsables, respetuosos y listos para dirigir, vamos a crear una cultura en la que nuestros estudiantes estén preparados para la excelencia.
Es el compromiso de nuestro equipo para preparar a su hijo/a para los desafíos del siglo 21. Estamos emocionados por el año escolar 2023-2024 y las fantásticas oportunidades y experiencias que están por venir. ¡Gracias de antemano por su involucramiento, cooperación y apoyo!
