Villacorta Vikings take part in a wide variety of activities that provide a well-rounded education. Included are:

Special Features and Programs

·       Wonder of Reading Library / New Reading Garden

·       Reading is Fundamental, supplies our PreK- 3rd grade and Special Ed students with new books three times per year to encourage the love of reading and the building up of each child's personal library at home.

·       Technology focus for classrooms includes LCD projectors, internet access, and internet technology such as United Streaming, a web-based platform for instructional media

·       Regular communication with parents in English and Spanish using Parent Link,  a web-based automated calling system

·       Partnership with Los Angeles District Attorney’s ACT Program (Abolish Chronic Truancy) to improve daily student attendance 

·       Individual and group counseling services  (partnership with Family Resource Center)

·       SHIPPS- Intervention program for K-3rd  grade students who are at risk for social/school adjustment
